day 1
San Francisco, CA – Monterey, CA - Arrival
120 mi / 192 km
Departing San Francisco you'll finally get your chance to ride along the rugged California coastline, and get a taste of one of the best motorcycle routes in the world, Highway 1. Breathtaking views of the coves and inlets of the Pacific Ocean are yours en route to Monterey, famous for being featured in John Steinbeck’s novel Cannery Row”. California’s undeveloped beauty will unfold right in front of you.day 2
Monterey, CA – Pismo Beach, CA
150 mi / 240 km
From Monterey continue south to Big Sur. This wild section of coastline is the most picturesque section of the PCH. Dramatic cliffs fall into the ocean and towering redwoods rise over coastal streams. Keep your eyes peeled for sea lions and otters playing in the kelp beds! Highway 1 was carved and blasted out of the western slopes of the Santa Lucia Mountains over 100 years ago, and thankfully this area has remained mostly unspoiled. Ride past San Simeon, Cambria, and Morro Bay toward your hotel in Pismo Beach.day 3
Pismo Beach, CA – Los Angeles, CA - Arrival
200 mi / 320 km
After continuing south through the Danish town of Solvang, you should stop in Santa Barbara for lunch. The Mediterranean atmosphere, influenced by its Spanish colonial heritage, makes Santa Barbara feel more like a European beach town than an American city. Next ride Hwy 1 through Oxnard straight into Malibu, and then it’s only a few more miles to the world-famous Santa Monica Pier - which is also the western end of Route 66! Sadly, this amazing ride must come to and end, returning your bikes in the afternoon. We hope you had an unforgettable ride!
