Between Mountains & Lakes

You start in Peschiera del Garda, easily reachable by train or bus from any major northern Italian airport, including Milan, Bergamo, Verona, Bologna, etc. The first part of the route runs along the eastern shore of Lake Garda. You’ll enjoy stunning views of the lake, visit a unique church perched on a cliff, have lunch in a mountain restaurant of our friends, explore the sights of famous Riva del Garda, visit a medieval village now home to artists, and see a canyon with a turquoise river flowing through it. Overnight stay near the picturesque Lake Molveno.

Your day begins with a visit to an ancient castle and a tasting of unique honey at a small private apiary. The next stop is a private distillery, where the owner will share the secrets of grappa production and organize a tasting. After lunch in a rustic trattoria offering hearty mountain dishes, you’ll enjoy another gastronomic experience – visiting a salumi producer. The hosts will treat you to homemade meats not available in supermarkets. Afterward, explore a unique railway scale model museum before reaching the day’s highlight – the famous Stelvio Pass, attracting motorcyclists with its hairpin turns and breathtaking views. The day ends in Bormio with a cozy hotel stay.

The day starts with a scenic road leading to a 14th-century church hidden in the mountains. Next is a modern architectural gem – a "stone garden" in the style of Gaudí, created by a local enthusiast. You’ll then visit a 200-year-old water-powered forge turned into a fascinating museum. After a mountain-view lunch of local dishes, you’ll arrive at Lake Como. Enjoy world-famous views from a ferry as it takes you to Bellagio, where you’ll spend the night.

In the morning, a guided tour of the Moto Guzzi museum awaits, showcasing the history of this legendary motorcycle brand. Later, visit a local cheese shop and enjoy a lunch of classic regional dishes on a private farm. Then, wind through scenic mountain switchbacks to a working water mill. Here, the owner will share its history and demonstrate flour production. In the afternoon, arrive at Lake Iseo and make a picturesque tour around Monte Isola. As cars are restricted on the island, bicycles will be booked for you. Explore stunning lake views and discover the local sardine fishing and preparation traditions. Overnight stay near Lake Iseo.

The highlight of this day is a visit to the arms factory museum. Enjoy an extraordinary lunch at a trattoria where every dish is a culinary masterpiece – reservations here are made months in advance, but our guests always have a spot. After another stretch of breathtaking mountain roads, return to Lake Garda via the satellite lakes Idro and Ledro. Drive along Gardesana, one of the world’s most beautiful roads, and reach a 300-meter-high observation point with panoramic views of the lake and mountains. After a final ferry crossing and a few last kilometers along the shore, you return to Peschiera del Garda, marking the end of your journey.
