Your are heading out to the Pacific Coast – Hwy 101 will take you all the way into Santa Barbara – a beautiful seaside community with its famous old mission, the historic wharf and palm-lined walkways. As you leave Santa Barbara you continue your journey along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world – on Hwy 101 up to Gaviota, where Hwy 101 turns inland and takes you through the Santa Ynez Mountains. We suggest a stop in Solvang, an old-world Danish village, where you could visit the motorcycle museum. Ride via Santa Maria and Pismo Beach and follow Hwy 101 all the way into San Luis Obispo, where you overnight.

Ride over to Morro Bay, which is famous for the Morro Rock – a dome-shaped volcanic peak that rises out of the Pacific Ocean, 578 feet above the northwestern end of the city’s harbor. Continue north on Hwy 1 and enjoy one of the most beautiful roads in the entire world! En route to Monterey you might want to stop in Cambria, or San Simeon, your gateway to Hearst Castle. Stick with Hwy 1, which winds through redwood forests and along the cliffs of the Big Sur Coast and you arrive in Monterey. Here, enjoy life at Cannery Row or you might want to visit the Bay Aquarium. Overnight.
