You will be following the famous Napoleon Route to Provence–Alpes–Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France and you will enjoy the Italy's Piemonte top wine region among the gentle hills and vineyards of Langhe.

As we leave Milan behind us, we start heading north-west to the south-west shore of Lake Maggiore where we stop in one of the villages on the lake. Lake Maggiore is between the Italian regions of Piedmont and Lombardy and the Swiss canton of Ticino. Beautiful villas, imposing fortresses and castles are located around the lake and its islands. Back on the road we cross a hill section that buffers between the flat land and the Alps to make our way towards the city of Aosta, our stop for dinner and the night.day 3

We complete the route of the "Route des Cretes" which overlooks the wonderful Verdon canyon. We will make a stop in Castellane with its picturesque church located on the cliff overlooking the village, before taking the Route de Napoleon, the road that Napoleon traveled on returning from his exile, this is pleasant for a motorcycle riding. We head to the village of Grasse, the world’s perfume capital situated north of the French Riviera. Overnight in Grasse.day 6

Today we leave Grasse and start to climb the Alps and return to Italy by crossing the Col della Lombarda Pass, a wonderful road with magnificent views that will take us to Piemonte region towards Langhe, a historical area considered one of the most captivating winemaking areas in Italy. The name "Langhe" is the plural form of langa, which means a long hill. You will be riding through the gentle Langhe hills and the vineyards of Barolo, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo. Today we leave the hills of Piemonte region crossing the vineyards and beautiful roads of the hilly region of Monferrato and then head to Lomellina in the Po Valley of northern Italy, located in south-western Lombardy region. The area is particularly renowned for the rice that goes back to the ancient ages. Cultivation began in Milan in 1475 and it is said to have been introduced by Galeazzo Maria Sforza, who was the fifth Duke of Milan.
